BMD Conversions

Picture 1

Picture 2 - I have added the pieces to a 2S9 upper hull from Eastern Express.   All that needs to be done is to remove the pour plug on the hull conversion and remove the turret ring off of the plastic kit piece.  It took me about 2 minutes to complete.

SP194 - 1V118/1V119 Artillery Command Vehicle - Eastern Express / Alanger BMD 2S9 Nona-S conversion to a 1V118 or 1V119 Reostat airborne artillery control vehicle.   The 1V118 is assigned to artillery batterys/infantry companies as a Forward Observer (FO) vehicle.  The 1V119 is assigned to the battalion artillery officer to serve as a Fire Direction Center (FDC).  The only difference between the vehicles (externally) is the addition of one more radio antenna on the 1V119.  These vehicles give exceptional armored flexibility to airborne regiments.  Airborne units use the 2S9 120mm Nona as their primary artillery.
